IN DEVELOPMENT · BUILT WITH YOUR INPUT

Good data starts
with a clear view.

Work with JSON, with confidence. Explore your data, understand what needs attention and review changes at your own pace.

Whether you're opening your first JSON file or managing advanced data workflows, we're building a visual desktop workspace to help you understand and work with your data.

Early development. No download or payment required.

LESS GUESSWORK. MORE UNDERSTANDING.

From “is it valid?”
to “is it what I meant?”

A missing comma is one problem. A number saved as text is another. JsonVia is being built to help you see both—and decide what happens next.

01 / UNDERSTAND

See what needs attention.

Start with a visual tree, table or form, and use the JSON editor when you need it. Clear problem locations help you find your way.

02 / DECIDE

Review before you change.

Check values against rules you confirm. See a proposed change and its meaning before choosing to apply it.

03 / CONTINUE

Keep the whole review.

The workspace brings your draft and review context together, so a pause doesn’t mean starting over.

A SIMPLE PRINCIPLE

Your data.
Your decision.

Fixing a file should never mean guessing what you intended.

  • Explain the problem in plain language.
  • Make uncertain changes visible.
  • Keep review and approval in your hands.
BUILT FOR THOUGHTFUL WORK

FOCUSED FIRST. ROOM TO GROW.

A useful beginning.
A considered next step.

Our first focus is making local JSON work clearer for beginners and experienced users alike, alongside Firebase workflows for those who need them. A focused release, with room to grow.

  1. Current focus

    Local JSON review

Editing, repairs, confirmed value rules and portable review workspaces.

  2. Planned beta

    Firebase workflows

Emulator editing and live read-only browsing, before protected live writes.

  3. Longer-term direction

    More connected data

Broader database and migration workflows, shaped by real user needs.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

Before you ask.

Do I need to know how to code?

The aim is to make everyday JSON tasks approachable without requiring you to write code. Visual views, plain-language explanations and guided reviews are planned to help you get started. The JSON editor and advanced controls remain available when you need them.

What is JSON, and why might I use JsonVia?

JSON is a text format used to store and exchange structured data. You may encounter it in an exported file, an app or a website service. JsonVia is being built to help you explore that information and review changes without working only through raw text.

Will there still be tools for experienced users?

Yes. Making the basics approachable does not mean removing advanced tools. The direction includes a JSON editor, confirmed value rules, repair previews and Firebase workflows. The roadmap above distinguishes the current focus from later plans.

Does valid JSON mean my data is correct?

Not necessarily. A file can follow JSON syntax while containing an unexpected value or type. Rules you confirm can check those expectations, but they cannot prove every real-world fact. JsonVia is designed to make that distinction clear and keep decisions with you.

What is the difference between saving JSON and a workspace?

A JSON export is the data file for use elsewhere. A JsonVia review workspace is designed to keep your draft together with rules, notes and review history, so you can return to the work later. These are different outputs for different purposes.

Can I download JsonVia yet?

Not yet. JsonVia is in development. This page is a place to learn about the direction and tell us what you need. We haven’t announced a release date.

Is it only for Firebase?

No. Local JSON review is a core part of JsonVia, and you won't need a Firebase project for it. Firebase workflows are also planned for the first release. Other databases are a longer-term direction, not a current promise.

Will it automatically change my data?

The design puts review first: explain issues, preview proposed repairs and let you decide. Live database writes are planned for a later, protected beta stage.

Can I try it with my own JSON on this website?

No. This is an introduction to the upcoming desktop app. The interactive example uses fictional data. Please don’t paste sensitive JSON into the feedback form.

Who sees my feedback?

Feedback is collected privately for JsonVia product research. It is not published on this page. Email is optional, and follow-up requires your permission.

YOUR FEEDBACK

Private by purpose.

This page collects feedback for the team developing JsonVia. It does not accept file uploads or payment details.

What we store

Your chosen role, area of interest, message, submission time and an optional email address with your follow-up preference. Feedback is stored in Cloudflare D1 and is not displayed publicly. A notification copy, including your message and optional contact details, is sent to the JsonVia team’s Gmail inbox.

Why, and for how long

We use it for product research and, only with your permission, to follow up about your message. The database copy is scheduled for deletion after 180 days. Email notification copies are managed separately in the team’s mailbox; deletion requests cover those copies too. Cloudflare’s managed recovery copies may persist according to its service retention. There is no newsletter subscription or advertising analytics on this page.

Spam protection

Cloudflare Turnstile checks whether submissions are legitimate. Cloudflare processes technical information, including network information, to provide this service. We use short-lived, keyed network identifiers for rate limits; raw IP addresses are not stored in our feedback database.

Your choices

You may leave email blank. Keep the receipt shown after sending. To request removal, choose “Privacy request” in the form and include your receipt. Do not include confidential documents, credentials or other people’s personal information.
